Acanthus LW formed a design team with Tony Gee & Partners to provide design services for the refurbishment of station platforms at Whitechapel, Shadwell, Wapping, Rotherhithe and Surrey Quays for Transport for London as a part of the East London Line redevelopment. The existing LU platforms were in poor condition. The design included lengthened and extensively refurbished platforms to corporate standards in order to accommodate new rolling stock, station management and passengers when these stations reopen as part of London Overground. Acanthus LW is working closely with the BBC JV and TfL in order to keep this project on programme.
