About Us

The practice was established in 1983, in Langton Green near Tunbridge Wells, by Christine and Stuart Page. From the outset the we have undertaken architectural and interior design projects for new buildings in outstanding landscapes and the adaptation, conservation and repair of historic and listed buildings.

DESIGN APPROACH

Our philosophy has been to remain a small practice where the partners can oversee projects and maintain close client contact.

We believe the Architect's role to be especially important when working in conservation areas or with historic buildings to ensure sympathetic buildings that are integrated with their surroundings and satisfy the client's brief.

It is our aim to develop well-detailed sound buildings in materials that enhance their settings and meet our clients' needs and budgets.

Projects are thoroughly researched and where necessary written reports are submitted to English Heritage, Tourist Boards and Planning Authorities.

The majority of our work involves close co-operation with the local authority conservation officers and consultation with English Heritage and English Nature.

In conservation work we try wherever possible to follow the conservative approach favoured by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
