The project addresses the school?s requirement to establish a recognisable entrance and visual identity, while at the same time providing new reception facilities and a strong but flexible communal space.

The project is seen as facilitating the delivery of specific aspects of the teaching curriculum, but also accommodating a number of out-of-hours and community uses.

A series of prefabricated components are proposed, and a number of sustainability measures are being investigated. The project is at an early stage, but is expected to be on site in spring 2010.
