As part of a major Estates Action programme on Lisson Green Estate, Acanthus LW Architects were commissioned by Westminster City Council to prepare proposals for the environmental improvement of the estate.

The scope of the work included the design and construction of toddler
and childrens play areas, floodlit multi ball courts, communal gardens
and general landscape improvements such as street furniture, fencing,
lighting and planting.

The proposals also included opening up the area of the Lisson Green
Estate, adjacent to Regents Canal, by providing public seating areas
for the residents and access to the canal footpath.
The project involved a major consultation with the multi cultural
residents of the estate and with Sure Start who funded part of the
project.
